Zero 6Bring Back The Zero 6 Nightclub Southend, refurb details by Paul Gee

I read on Facebook that the club is being refurbished, with talk of a Zero 6 reunion party. Certainly a great place to party in it’s heyday, this nightclub was a place I loved to visit every week. I spent so many nights dancing to superb 80’s Jazz Funk & Soul classics around at the time, along with New Romantic tunes also heavily featuring in the playlist. Over the years the club went through various changes but for me the magic of the early 80’s couldn’t be matched. Zero 6 used to be dark, a bit tired, but just like the Pink Tootbrush in Rayleigh had that winning formula. Glitz, sparkle and plush surroundings weren’t essential to have ‘the best night of your life’ – every week!
