Happy New Year message from Geoff Grove

Happy-new-year2012 was a great year for me in terms of business with disco bookings up year on year – despite the poor economic outlook and austerity measures, there seems to be no shortage of money for people to cheer themselves up.

Barge in Maldon, Yacht in London, even Downton Abbey !

Barge-Hydrogen-MaldonI get to perform at some interesting function rooms and 2012 had the most diverse selection to date! My first gig on a barge in Maldon went very well though I was relieved that the party goers gave me a hand carrying my equipment down the steep stairs! Thankful that my speakers didn’t go through the hull and sink us!

Wedding-Venue-Downton-AbbeyThe most prestigious venue I DJ at was Hiclere Castle Downton Abbey in Berkshire – what a fantastic dream wedding venue! I finished off the year with a company Christmas party on a yacht moored on the Thames at Embankment.

Marcos Bar Rayleigh

Marcos-Bar-RayleighIt made a nice change to be back at Marcos Bar Rayleigh just before New Years Eve. I did two Christmas parties there, one of which was for Makros in Rawreth. What a top night! Marcos Bar was rockin, and I was ‘on fire’ 🙂 It was ‘just one of those nights’ where everything went perfect from start to finish.

New Years Eve family party

Each year I throw my own New Years Eve party for families from Southend, Rayleigh and Hockley. It was very well attended, around 170 people came, children were allowed, and it made my event unique. No other party that I know of offered families the chance to celebrate the New Year together, and provided party poppers, crisps and hot food within the £12.50 ticket price! I just wanted a damn good party for everyone to enjoy, and that’s exactly what I achieved. Everyone present had a fantastic time!

Happy New Year

Happy-new-yearLooking forward to 2013 I have lots more parties to DJ at, and i’m sure I will see you at another soon! So a very happy healthy and prosperous new year to all my friends and clients, and thanks so much for your continued support.
