Westcliff Hotel

I often DJ at The Westcliff Hotel Southend, and would like to share my review with you, to help you make a more informed choice for your wedding venue.

The Westcliff Hotel Review

Tanya and Stuart got married yesterday at The Westcliff Hotel, and I was chosen by them to DJ. I played their choice of background music through the wedding breakfast, and then kept the dance floor busy all night with top tunes, until 1am (Westcliff Hotel has a late license).

The Westcliff Hotel has a large split level suite, with it’s own self contained bar. There is also a separate bar and seating area in a room next door. A spacious dance floor and separate stage area make an ideal place to party for your guests.

They have a mirror ball and spotlight for mood lighting, and at this particular wedding they had an illuminated star cloth as an attractive backdrop for the top table.

The paneled walls lend themselves to wall washed lighting which was hired at extra cost at a previous function I was at, but it did look amazing.

The Westcliff Hotel Buffet

All the tables were furnished with candelabras and real candles adding a touch of class, as did the chair covers and chic yellow ribbons chosen by the bride and Groom.

The staff were all very efficient, and laid out a lovely hot and cold buffet. As you can see from the pictures there was plenty of choice for guests, and the quality was good.

Photos from Tanya and Stuarts Wedding

Tanya and Stuart enjoyed a magical wedding day. Guests took photos on the grass area across the road from the hotel, while drinks were served, making the most of the lovely weather.

The Westcliff Hotel - Access for DJs and Bands

The Westcliff Hotel has a decent stage area for bands and DJs to perform, though if you are hired to play here be aware that parking in the area can be difficult. You don’t have far to carry your gear but the narrow alleyway and access door to the stage is very tight for getting things like speakers through. Make sure you look at my Gallery which shows my photos and reviews of other desirable wedding venues in Essex. A to Z of Venues Contact me Home
